Northern Virginia Suzuki Violin Lessons

Group classes are twice a month on average. All elementary school kids are required to attend these classes because we practice different skills at these.  They make the private lessons function far better as they are an extra supervised practice.  All skills learned at private lessons get reviewed and refined while learning to play as a team.  We learn from each other at these practices, very much in the spirit of the Montessori philosophy.

The classes allow the kids to play in front of each other and their parents so that nervousness in public can be dealt with in a safe place. A professional pianist comes several times before recitals to practice either with the whole group and/or with each kid rehearsing a solo piece in front of their peers.

Classes are on Sundays 4 to 7 pm at The Falls Church Episcopal. The schedule is published a month before the semester starts taking care to avoid holidays and three day weekends according to the local school calendars. 45 m, beginners, 45 m. intermediate, 1 h. advanced.

Each student and their family is unique. My aim is to provide your child with the best fit for his/her needs and those of your family while keeping a structure in the program they can benefit from and achieve their own best potential. We are lucky to live in such a culturally rich area. The possibilities for each child are many and sometimes it is hard to choose our path. Our schools are superb in their orchestral programs and there are several private youth orchestras that regularly travel overseas.
