I offer a free evaluation lesson to meet your child, learn a bit about them, and discuss when they can begin lessons. It’s a warm, welcoming first step — no pressure and no preparation needed. Beginners don’t need to bring anything, and students who already play can bring their current music.
Alumni & Inspiration
Celebrating our foundational work ❦ some jaw-dropping alumni performances
There is a wonderful quote by Dr. Suzuki that beautifully captures the delicate, sometimes challenging, yet deeply rewarding work we do here together. When we root our efforts in patience and trust, choosing steadiness and hope over stress and worry about outcomes, the heart opens — and the artist within each student has space to flourish.
“To make a resolution and act accordingly is to live with hope. There may be difficulties and hardships, but not disappointment or despair if you follow the path steadily. Do not hurry. This is a fundamental rule. If you hurry and collapse or tumble down, nothing is achieved. Do not rest in your efforts; this is another fundamental rule. Without stopping, without haste, carefully taking a step at a time forward will surely get you there.”
In this spirit, we strive to nurture both character and musicianship in every student. Progress is rarely sudden; it grows from countless quiet steps, each taken with attention, courage, and sincerity. Over time, these small movements accumulate into something meaningful — a resilience of spirit and a depth of artistry that cannot be rushed.
The Studio Alumni performances that follow are glimpses of what becomes possible when learning is approached with this kind of steadiness and heart. They are not merely outcomes, but reflections of an inner journey shaped by the principles our teaching tradition so clearly articulates. These represent a mix of students who have taken Suzuki violin lessons as well Suzuki-infused traditional violin lessons.
